Parkside Sinners
Known as the Sinner Side, Park Gang, or the Parkside Sinners 13 (PKSX3) are a well-established Hispanic and Latino gang primarily found nowadays in Los Santos' South Central area. Members of the unit are exclusively Latino, with the majority being Mexican. As one of the more recent gangs to adopt the Sureno card, they first emerged allegiance to the Mexican Mafia in the early to mid-2000s and have been harboring it ever since.
They are an emerging set now living in Los Santos' southern part that often distinguishes itself by the contents of their eccentric apparel. It is common for affiliates to wear clothing pieces from a variety of sports organizations that represent the street gang in some way, representing their allegiance to these organizations. Such as garments from the Pittsburgh Pirates, Indiana Pacers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Los Angeles Lakers, and the Chicago White Sox.
Origin
The gang's lineage stems back to the mid-1990s, arising as a tag-banging crew in the East Side of Los Santos. Particularly the neighborhood of Mirror Park, embracing the "Park" into their collective's moniker, still displaying it to this day. Formed as an assemblage of local Latino youth in the Mirror Park area, at the time only confined to activities related to graffiti and some petty crimes, the instituting group referred to themselves as the "Parkside Rifa". During this period, most of their worries included trips to juvenile detention centers for vandalism, shoplifting, public intoxication, disorderly conduct, or trespassing.
This conduct and placidity wouldn't last long. It took a drastic turn as racial tensions between Hispanic and African Americans quickly arose in the Mirror Park neighborhood and other surrounding areas. The gruesome death of one of the clique's most beloved members, Jesus "Shady" Arteaga, in 1997 would completely shift the clique's identity, molding them into a bloodthirsty posse. This was seen as the induction of retaliation, crime, bloodshed, and gang-banging for the decades that followed prior. Shady was stabbed and killed in an alley as he walked to a family member's house in the El Burro Heights neighborhood of East Los Santos. The murder was said to be committed by a member of a local African-American gang that resided in the area. The motive behind the slaying was retaliation for a death of their own, mistaking Arteaga to be a member of a rival Hispanic gang.
Exactly one week later, two Parksiders named Kevin "Flaco" Pérez and Arturo "Reckless" Valera drove into the same neighborhood; unlike the last Parksider that made their way through, Flaco had a Revolver in hand. Arturo crept up in the vehicle, dropping Pérez off on the side of the curb. Kevin made his way through several alleyways and backyards as he clutched his weapon, then spotting a group of African-American males. With the crowd in his sights, while yelling out “This is for Shady, foo!” he then yanked on the Revolver's trigger, firing shots until he heard his gun let out the sound of a metallic snap. That night resulted in the murder of two gang members, and both Arturo and Kevin were later found guilty of the double murder. At the combined age of 35, the duo was sentenced to life without parole. The Parkside Rifa received infamy throughout their neighborhood because of this deed, leading them to continue to build their notoriety with continuous stretches of violent crimes. Over time, they began regarding themselves as Sinners, taking pride in their acts of barbarity. So much so that they completely dropped the Rifa in their title, substituting it with Sinners.
More associates began trickling into the San Andreas prison system and Los Santos County jails. Initial members began intertwining with the Mexican Mafia, and more would follow suit as a chance for endorsement fell into their lap. In the summer of 2003, inside the Bolingbroke Penitentiary, the Parkside Sinners were formally adopted into the Mexican Mafia and represented the Sureno coalition and code of ethics from then on. Employing the 13 to the end of their name.
Operation: Parkside
In 2010, indictments for LSPD’s Operation Parkside were filed against 35 of the Parkside Sinners gang members, and 26 of the 35 were arrested. As prominent members had gotten seized, the gang fell into disorder due to a lack of leadership. Along with the increasing gentrification of the Mirror Park neighborhood and a rent increase, the gang's numbers seem to dwindle over time, sparking a gradual fall in activity. The lingering number of members sought cheaper living conditions in areas of poorer conditions like the South Central of Los Santos. Despite their undersized militia, they slowly began setting up in neighboring South Central Los Santos regions.
Present Day Parkside
The current generation is known for being reckless and impulsive and for having a hotter disposition with their grudges. As a multi-clique, Hispanic-American organization, the Parkside Sinners 13 street gang still exists today. Their most aggressive and active clique is the Pistoleros, which only takes in killers. Other cliques include the Lady Dukes, Malandros, Menaces, and other associations. Fragments of the Parkside gang's history and notoriety remain in Mirror Park, but their current-day territory lies in the South of Los Santos. The older generation and members from Mirror Park label the newer generation as the Ghetto Side or the Sinner Side, and this is due to the griminess and foulness of their newly occupied grounds.
Additionally, a recent influx of activity has resurged within the set; due to various older members who were once in jail getting out. Providing more leadership to the juveniles of the gang and engaging in more recruiting.
OOC INFO:
The Parkside Sinners want to portray the PKSX3 neighborhood in a realistic way as a fresh, young, and rising Hispanic neighborhood located on the South Side of Los Santos. Members are pushed to emphasize character development. Additionally, we want our members to be innovative in their roleplaying, as you won't be spoon-fed ideas or roleplay. We accept all that are interested, even newcomers, so if you have any questions or concerns about our faction as a whole, you may get in touch with us here: 215norf#1891.
